Techno Tuesday
Why not, it’s been a while and I’ve certainly given you a fair share of hip hop the last couple of weeks. Lack of posting will be attributable to work in the next couple of weeks so don’t hate the game. Big shoutout to all the recent graduates, most importantly my little sis.

Motivation
Here’s a guy that should be charging double. The eastern conference NBA finals reference is spot on. First up today is a peek at YMCMB’s cross-over capable Shanell, Wayne drops a refreshingly strong set of bars as well. A-Trak and Mr. Francis’ collab is some of the best techno I’ve heard in a while. Lastly, check out Nas and 80s if you’re feeling the mood for some R&B’ed hip hop.
Shanell feat. Lil Wayne & Drake- So Good
A-Trak & Dillon Francis - Money Makin’
Face-Off
Here’s a couple tracks that are probably more different then you could hope to create if you tried. They both, however, should be holding long tenure in your iPods top played rotation. Nasir’s rendition is sure to hang on the airwaves for sometime now. For all the gangster rap I post, would you be surprised if I told you I’ve also trained myself to fall asleep to Mayer’s guitar?
Finals Week
Has brought out a ridiculous amount of new music that I haven’t been able to completely cover, so don’t worry but there’s a lot more where this is coming from. I’d share it earlier but unless someone out there wants to take my macroeconomics final (open offer) then I think we’re all screwed.
Coldplay - Fight For Your Right To Party (Beastie Boys Cover)
Elbows You’d Never Like To Meet
Ron Artest chose to celebrate Jack Nicholson’s birthday in style. In other news the Lakers actually won this game and sales of Metta World Peace jersey’s have spiked again. If I ever caught an Artest elbow I have a feeling that I would be enjoying all of my meals in milkshake form for quite some time. That’s what happens when you pop Hennessy at halftime.
Theophilus London feat. A$AP Rocky - Big Spender
Gucci Mane feat. Chris Brown, Lil’ Wayne - Cyeah Cyeah Cyeah
Shameless
Jesse definitely gets filed under my shameless guilty pleasure mix but that doesn’t mean the boy can’t produce a jam. This most recent offering is certainly up there with the timeless Body Language for pop songs I’m embarrassed to have on my iPod. Call Me Maybe can be explained away, obscure Jesse McCartney? Not so much.
Jesse McCartney - Shake (Jump Smokers Remix)
Let’s Have A Breakdown
I’ve decided that the more dollar signs that I can include in my posts the better. For those of you that didn’t see Tupac’s hologram at Coachella that is definitely some youtubeable fare. I saw a couple folks arguing to get Biggie back just for the purposes of selling out the Garden. A single from A$AP and the long lost Major Lazer should keep you busy for the time being though.
